Welcome to my new and improved website and thank you for stopping in and I hope to see you soon.
A little about me and my style: I am a multi-award winning lifestyle photographer primarily based in the Old Forge, NY area who shoots on location of your choice, using the beauty of the outdoors to capture moments you can treasure for years to come. I would describe my style as up close and personal, I like to focus more on the individual than a sweeping backdrop. I want your lovely faces to be seen and fill the frame with your emotions. Making you laugh, feel comfortable and have a joyful experience is my ultimate goal. At the end of the day I hope you, my client feel a like you’ve made a friend and every time you see your portrait it makes you smile.
I have been taking photographs off and on for well over a decade, with renewed inspiration coming in the form of my five dogs. I initially went to school for Culinary Arts, and although baking/cooking is still a passion of mine, photography is a love that I cannot shake. Originally I started photographing animals and nature; it didn’t take long to fall in love with portrait photography.
If my work has a mission, it is this: to magnify a slice of life that would normally be over looked, using my camera to show the beauty of a singular moment in time. It could be a flower petal held midair by a piece of spider-silk, or the joyful exuberance of man’s best friend. Whatever the subject matter, I hope it will provoke a number of feelings and thoughts in the viewer.
Where you may have seen my work:
Ongoing: Several animal pieces can be seen at the Otter Lake Veterinary Clinic. I've had photos and articles about my work featured in the both local papers The Adirondack Express and The Weekly Adirondack.
I work Herkimer County Humane Society taking adoption photos to increase adoptions and awareness. Hundreds of animals I have photographed have already found their new homes and countless more who have been adopted because of a different face they've seen online since July 2012. My two calendar Old Forge Dogs About Town calendar have raised over $3550 for the Herkimer County Humane Society!
